1. 4 Curtain rods – For the four poster bed, line all sides with curtains rods (there are those which are adjustable) and hang the light weight fabric from them. You can purchase ready-made curtains with eyelets for easy hanging at your nearest mall. Opt for the sheer and lightweight designs.2. Pair of rods – For one big drape, purchase 2 sturdy rods (preferably made from iron, brass or the like) that are almost the same width as your bed. Secure the rods onto the ceiling; one parallel to the foot of the bed and the other, parallel to the headboard. Then take your fabric and simply hang them on the rods (no need for fabrics with eyelets). Just adjust the dip of the drape accordingly. Usually fabric of this length cannot be bought at the home section of the department store, so ask help from your local seamstress to prepare the fabric you can buy from the fabric store.3. Ladder – For a rustic yet elegant touch, you can screw onto the ceiling your simple, wooden ladder. You may do just one, or have two to three that are side by side. Weave you fabric through the rungs and adjust the dip for your desired effect.4. Hula hoop – Spray paint the hula hoop white, and hang it from the ceiling using chains and screws. Then attach four pieces of extra long fabric onto the hula hoop. To secure them, simply sew the edges of the fabric onto the rim of hoop.
