Say you'd love to have Van Gogh's "Starry Night" in your bedroom, or Da Vinci's "The Last Supper" in your dining room. Obviously, the original artworks are out of the question -- so here's how you can get your hands on the next best thing.
Buy replicas at a store
The easiest option would be to search for replicas of the paintings of your choice among stores that sell home decorations. Retailers that provide paintings may also have replicas of popular masterpieces among their offerings.
Get an artist to replicate the paintings
Certain artists' booths in retail centers offer their services to this end. Although rather more costly, it's the ideal setup for when you can't find what you're looking for as ready-made replicas at stores.
Get prints and posters
A more DIY approach, and one that celebrates the spirit of contemporary art reproduction (and consumption, to boot). Prints and posters are versatile: you can put them up, take them down, replace them, or move them to a different spot in your home in a jiffy. It'll add a touch of cool 'n contemporary to any room. Simply go to your preferred printing shop and have them churn out a set of the artworks that you want.
Have a photo of the artwork framed
Have a high quality photo, print, or poster of your artwork of choice framed for an impressive and more official look. Go to your preferred photo framing station and select the kind of frame that goes well with the “painting” and with the decor of the room.
