With the coming holiday season nearing us, it's time to think of ways to make your space look more festive and filled with the holiday spirit. If you live in a condo unit though, you have less leeway to bring in huge Christmas trees, lights, stockings and the works. Your space just might end up looking cramped and fussy.
For a tasteful take on Christmas decor for condos, here are some fun ideas...
Go for acrylic, glass or if you're willing to splurge, crystal decor. Since these materials have a transparent quality, they can add a festive vibe to your space without looking bulky and overwhelming.
Stow away your current accessories, and replace them with Christmas decor. For instance, if you have a tray of rattan balls as your everyday coffee table centerpiece, you can replace some of the balls with Christmas balls. You can also take out the whole setup, and replace it with a grouping of three small accessories.
Use your walls as a blank canvas for holiday decor. Having accessories lay flat against your walls will make them less obtrusive in the room. You may use wall decals and stickers, or create a visual composition with wreathes and frames.
One of the easiest and perhaps least expensive ways of decorating your condo with Christmas décor is by using ribbons. String them along walls and use thumbtacks to pin them down. You can even hang some stockings on these ribbons. Also, tie a few bows in some areas of your home, like your dining table and chair legs. - Aislinn Kee
