Creeptastic halloween design ideas

Treat yourself to decorative tips ‘n tricks beyond the typical
pumpkin this Halloween. Look to these simple ideas to infuse a
touch of “creeptastic” in your home.

Paper bats

They’re super easy to make. You can use them virtually anywhere, or on anything. Use black art paper, felt paper, or cardboard. Cut out a flock of bats. Stick them on walls, windows, your front door, or hang them in the trees in the yard.

Ghostly figures

Using chicken wire, cut and sculpt a ghostly figure that’s perfect for the yard. Spray-paint with glow-in-the-dark paint, if you like, but the sculpture should look just as spooky if left bare.

Halloween garlands

Sew, glue, or tape cutouts onto string. Hang in artful loops is doorways and windows. Use Halloween icons like bats, pumpkins, skulls, and ghosts. Use black and orange a lot, but throw in a pop of color here and there to make it bright and fun.

Hair-raising terrarium
Soil, pebbles, dried grass or twigs, and your creature of choice: fake spiders, tiny skeletons, or cut-out ghosts, for starters.

Creepy watchers

Using the cardboard roll in your toilet paper. Cut out evil, menacing pairs of eyes and place within your bushes with glow sticks inside each roll.
