During the rainy season, it’s always more prudent and comfortable to stay indoors. However, with the summer season upon us, the great outdoors can be a great space to lounge in. Here's how to make the most of your outdoor lounge space....
There’s nothing like a tropical summer with a perfect backdrop for a beach-inspired outdoor area. If you have a pool in your home, a poolside setup with comfortable recliners and a large, bright umbrella for shade is your best bet. You can still achieve a beach-themed design even without a pool though. Employ bright yellows and blues reminiscent of the sun and the sea as your color scheme. Nautical stripes also evoke a distinct summer vibe.
For those who love the outdoors without actually being under the sun, shade is an important element. A pergola or gazebo offers ample shade and a great view of your garden landscape. An overhead trellis provides shade and a lush garden ambiance. For a more temporary option, try using a garden tent or large umbrellas.
Fun activity space
In the Philippines, students usually have a vacation break during the summer season, which makes it the perfect time for family bonding. Turn your outdoor area into a fun activity space by incorporating some of your kids’ interests. An outdoor game room featuring a billiard table or a trampoline in the middle of the garden can make for some fun times with your kids. Complement this fun activity space with an outdoor dining area for taking breaks and refreshments.
