- scrapbook or giftwrapping paper- scissors or box cutter- collage pauge- sponge brush- 120-grit sandpaper
- If you're repurposing an old table, sand it down and brush or wipe it clean.- Ready your scrapbook paper (or giftwrapping paper) from the crafts store. Measure the surface of your coffee table and cut the roll of scrapbook paper to match its dimensions. You can also cut out a number of small pieces enough to cover the table with.- Apply pauge on the table using a sponge brush. Avoid applying too much, as this may cause the scrapbooking paper to wrinkle. Lay out the scrapbooking paper on the pauge, making sure that it's smooth and even from end to end.- Once you've covered the surface of the table, start applying pauge over the scrapbook paper itself.- Wait until the pauge on top and underneath is dry. Then, sand down the scrapbooking paper with 120-grit sandpaper for that old, weathered look.- Optional: you can brush over your table with varnish, lacquer, or another clear coating of your choice to preserve your creation.
