Facebook Marketing Tips for Realtors

Facebook offers plenty of feature to market your listings with. Take note of these handy tips in making the most out of this platform.

Set up a Facebook Page
Don’t use your personal profile - it’s unprofessional and lacking in business functions. Facebook Pages provide a number of features that will boost and expand your online marketing. There’s an option to create contests, for instance. You can also check your statistics with Facebook Insight, a feature that gathers user activity on your page.

Update with images
Your followers are less likely to notice a status update among the many items on their Newsfeed. An image, however, should make your post pop out. It could be as no-frills as an image with bold text: it should still serve to get their attention.

Tag your posts with their location
Important, especially, when it comes to posts and photos of your listings. Posts tagged with their location show up on that neighborhood or city’s page, helping you reach more potential followers.

Include your contact details
Place your contact details on all posts that advertise your listings or services. Additionally, you can also place them on your profile photo, should you prefer. This way, your followers wouldn’t have to click on your profile every time they wanted to contact you over a post they saw on your page or on their Newsfeed.

Encourage likes and shares
Ask your friends, coworkers or staff to like and share your posts, especially during your page’s first few weeks. More likes or shares means that your posts are much more likely to pop up on a follower’s Newsfeed.

Post relevant material
To keep your page active and engaging, post interesting news and features related to real estate or your listings. For instance, announce the development or opening of a new mall, park, school, or other form of attraction in your listings’ neighborhood. News like that should pique some attention and buyer interest.

Be friendly
Engage with the users on your page. Reply to comments and queries punctually, so that your followers know they can rely on reaching you through this portal. Be professional, but don’t be afraid to add your own personality to your page, either. Additionally, like relevant pages and comment on their posts to establish good will, and to market yourself.
