Administrative cases refer to complaints filed against the formation and/or operation of certain administrative agencies. Businesses, whether carried out by corporations, partnerships, or single proprietorships, are allowed to operate as regulated by the state. As such, administrative cases are complaints not against the personality of the scammer engaged in such a business and not just its errant act/s.
If the real estate scammer in question is operating as a business, here’s how you can file an administrative case against them:
Gather data against your defendant
“Know thy enemy,” as they say. Make sure you have important information on the scammer, such as their purported business name, their principal place of business, and/or the identity of pertinent employees. It would also be easier to process this action with documents, receipts, invoices, or other proof of communication with these individuals.
File a case with the appropriate government agency
Apart from real estate scams, the Department of Trade and Industry also accepts reports on pyramiding, deceptive or false advertising, unfair business practices, selling of substandard products, and unfair packaging of goods. You can initiate an administrative complaint against a scammer by downloading and accomplishing a form in their official website.
