1. Wet sponge toss: For every two kids, give them a pail of cold water that they can share. Shuck in a few sponges to soak. Then have them play a game of catch, tag or whatever they fancy. Of course, getting wet is part of the fun. This activity is fun, safe and you can recycle the sponges too!2. Outdoor kids pool party – Bring out the inflatable pool, fill it up with water and throw in a few toys. For a nice twist, include bubbles for an afternoon of endless fun.3. Creative makeshift tent – No need to buy the expensive camping tents. You can fashion your own more simply-made tent with just rope and blankets. Tie a rope between two trees and then drape a blanket over it like a teepee. Secure the ends of the blanket to the ground by either nailing it (this will, of course, damage the fabric) or pin it under a heavy brick or log. Voila! A nice, cool and well ventilated space for playtime.4. Outdoor shower – Let them enjoy the outdoors and bring bath-time fun outside. For an outdoor shower, just hang a hose on a low-lying branch of a tree or secure it to the highest rung on a ladder. For added fun, bring out the water sprinklers so that the kids can run and play.
