In today’s world, many businesses are now making the shift to the online market place. After all, they can set up a website and an e-commerce platform, and then just use their homes for storage. However, it’s still a good idea for online businesses to have physical offices, or at the very least, a physical address.
If you want to run a business in the Philippines, you need a business address, even if it is your home. It makes sense then, that you should at least have an office or study for your PC to declare as an office.
Real life negotiations
Sometimes, you have to deal with clients, suppliers and even customers. A proper office space, even if it’s just a small cubicle for your PC and a meeting table to the side, can lend a more ‘official’ air to your online business. It’s even better if you can devote a room or two in your house or even have a small office. After all, if you want people to respect you, then you should make sure that you present yourself and your business properly.
Equipment and archiving
Like it or not, even if you operate an online business, there will still be paperwork, and you will probably need much more than your computer. Even if the sole purpose of your office is to compartmentalize your house so that everything office related is stored in one room, then that’s a good idea to do.
At the end of it all, it is important to have a proper work/life balance, even if it means making room in your home for an office.
