Touted as the country's first cyber park, Eastwood City in Libis, Quezon City was cited as a "Highly Commended Mixed-Use Development" at the 2015 Asia Pacific Property Awards, which were held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The township – Megaworld Corp.'s flagship development – was handpicked for the award thanks to its "contribution to the growth of the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry in the country and for successfully integrating the LIVE-WORK-PLAY concept to its community," according to Megaworld's press release.
The awards recognize excellence in all sectors of the real estate industry in the Asia Pacific region. It is a regional segment of the International Property Awards. Winners from the Asia Pacific Property Awards (as well as winners from other regional awards) qualify for the International Awards, which recognize the best in the real estate industry all over the world.
There were a handful of other Philippine entries that bagged distinctions. Designed by HANDStudio + Puls, Greenview Residences won for "Best Architecture - Multiple Residence." SM Aura Premier, by SM Prime Holdings Inc., was declared for having the "Best Retail Architecture." Avida Land Corp.'s Glorietta showroom was "Highly Commended" under "Interior Design Show Home," as did their showroom in Iloilo, which received the same distinction.
Thirteen Philippine developments were granted citations and awards: One Park Drive, by Avida, was "Highly Commended" under the category "Commercial High-rise Development." Net Park, by the Net Park Group, was declared "Best Commercial High-rise Development." The Net Group was also "Highly Commended" for the category "Developer Website." Ring Rob Concierge by Robinsons Land Corp. was cited "Highly Commendedn "Development Marketing - Philippines" along with Verve Residences, a condominium development by Alveo Land Corp., whose marketing was conceptualized and designed by branding agency Vitamin B Inc.
Along with Eastwood City, South Park District by Avida Land Corp. was likewise "Highly Commended" as a mixed-use development. Century Spire, by Century City Development Corp., was declared "Best Mixed-use Development." World Plaza by Daiichi Properties Inc. earned "Best Office Development." Robinsons Land's Escalades South Mentro was "Highly Commended" as a Residential Development, as was Avida Towers Verte BGC and Breeze Residences by SM Development Corp., under the category "Residential High-Rise Development. " Meanwhile, "Best Residential High-rise Development" went to the The Sapphire Bloc by Robinsons Land.
Real estate agencies were also given distinctions. CBRE Philippines won "Best Lettings Agency," "Best Real Estate Agency," and was likewise "Highly Commended" under the category of "Property Consultancy," as was Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) Philippines. "Best Property Consultancy" went to KMC MAG Group, who was also "Highly Commended" under "Real Estate Agency Marketing." "Best Real Estate Agency Marketing" went to CBRE Philippines, for "Juan Luna."
