Selling your own home without the help of a real estate agent can be daunting, but it’s not impossible. It’s only a matter of using the right strategies to attract buyers.
1. Get the word out
One of the most important factors in selling a house is getting the word out. Social media has become a great tool for relaying information quickly. Post your news on Facebook or other social media accounts. This is a no-cost way to advertise your property. You may also post on other online platforms and in local daily newspapers.
2. Boost curb appeal
Make a good first impression by boosting your home’s curb appeal - trim your landscape, repaint your home exteriors and repair busted lights. These inexpensive ways make your home exteriors look better and may just attract potential buyers.
3. Set a competitive price
A good price is perhaps the greatest motivational factor for most home buyers. Set a competitive price. Do some research on comparable properties around your neighborhood to determine the running prices. Your price should not be too high or too low when compared to these properties. However, if you need to sell your home fast, lowering your price may be just the trick.
4. Throw in attractive conditions
Make your property sale more attractive by throwing in some irresistible conditions. For example, you may shoulder all the closing expenses on the property sale instead of giving a discount on the price. Leaving some home appliances behind is also a sweet addition to your deal.
