The Bloomberry Resorts Corp announced that they will be investing P51 billion to further expand the Solaire Resorts and Casino. This expansion includes the construction of three hotels, as well as extra space for retailers and gaming tables, making Solaire Resorts and Casino one of the largest resorts in the world.
Bloomberry chairman and CEO, Enrique Razon, says the first phase of expansion known as Phase 1-A is currently on schedule and they aim to open in the fourth quarter of 2014.
The Phase 1-A expansion includes an all-suite hotel tower, a 10 000 square meter retail area, 1 760-seat theater and new dining options for Solaire patrons. Further additions include more than five dozen VIP gaming tables and over 200 electronic gaming machines.
“Upon completion, Bloomberry will have invested P50.912 billion in Phase 1 and Phase 1-A combined, and we remain confident that we'll commence operations in the fourth quarter of 2014.”
Phase 2 of Solaire's expansion is currently in its planning stage and is expected to encompass the construction of 1 500 new hotel rooms under three different hotel brands, none of which have been identified yet.
Bloomberry COO and president, Thomas Arasi, says once the expansion has been completed, Solaire will rank among the largest and most comprehensive integrated resorts in the world.
