Located in Barangay Sahud-Ulan in Cavite, Suntrust Ecotown Tanza is a forthcoming industrial park measuring 350 hectares. Aside from its industrial component, it has commercial, residential, and recreational zones that "cater primarily to export-oriented industries," said Suntrust Properties president, Harrison Paltongan.
Drawing upon the five-tiered lifestyle espoused by their parent company -- "live, work, play, learn, shop" -- Suntrust has integrated residential, retail, and recreational into their masterplan to achieve a holistic community, according to Patlongan.
"Considering the pioneering philosophy of our parent company Megaword, Suntrust Properties decided to go beyond masterplanning a run-of-the-mill industrial estate," stated Patlongan.
"Suntrust Ecotown Tanza is envisioned as another 'live-work-play-learn-shop' community similar to the pioneering township projects like the Eastwood City in Libis, Quezon City; Resorts World in Parañaque City; and the McKinley Town Center and Forbes Town Center that are both located in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig," said Patlongan.
“Once completed, the Suntrust Ecotown Tanza will accommodate not only eco-friendly and modern-looking warehouses but also beautiful yet affordable homes for the locator’s executives and their families, generous open spaces and nature areas, a driving range, shopping mall, hotel, restaurants, schools and even a chapel," issued Patlongan.
The Ecotown currently has 107 industrial lots for light to medium export-oriented industries like car and computer components, food products, fabric and textiles, pharmaceuticals, machinery, chemicals, electronics, and home appliances. Thirty-five locators have already snapped up 24 percent of the lots, according to Patlongan.
The industrial park comes with a number of amenities, among them a driving range, a mini golf course and putting greens, plus staples like a swimming pool, a jogging path, a basketball court, a covered badminton court, and various parks, among others.
Patlongan added that the Ecotown will provide for 24/7 security, a fire station, a transport service for the locators' employees, and a set of dedicated parking bays for container trucks.
Furthermore, the industrial park is set to offer income tax holidays from four to eight years to its locators. There will also be certain exemptions from other taxes and select fees and dues.
