When the condominium unit you bought ends up being such an odd shape to work with, don’t fret. There are a few ways to work with the space you have.
Custom made furniture
Since wasting space is not an option, you have to find ways to maximize every nook and cranny of your condominium unit. For odd corners, look for a good custom made furniture company and have them make a storage space or furniture piece that is tailor-made to fit that unusual corner you have.
Dual purpose dividers
For condominium units that are rectangular, you have to find clever ways on how to compartmentalize each area by putting a function in the dividers as opposed to just having walls put up. A very common dual purpose divider that most people use is a bookshelf. Bookshelves are high enough to separate two areas and a bookshelf that can be accessed from either side will provide both function and decor effects.
For oddly placed structural columns, the best thing to do would be to convert it into something functional. Having some hanging shelves installed onto your column would transform the big inconvenience into something that looks like it was meant to be there.
There are always solutions to things like these no matter how odd your dilemma might look at first. When it comes to condominium units, you are only limited by your imagination... and of course also by the construction guidelines of management. - Michelle Alyssa Tiu
