Buying a home involves many considerations and decisions. One of the most important things to decideon is your home's location. Deciding where you want to build your life is a life-altering decision. But wherever you decide to put down your roots, there are a number of things you should be in close proximity to.
Work and school
If you’re a hands-on parent who enjoys taking your kids to school , having your home, workplace and your kid’s school within close proximity of each other can establish a convenient daily routine, save you on travel expenses and time spent in commute. If you don’t have the luxury of driving your kids to school, having the school within walking distance of your home can also prove to be a good option.
Family and friends
Living near family and friends can make life all the more enjoyable. Parties and reunions are easier to pull off and, with your social circle nearby, occasional and spontaneous get-togethers are possible. However, don’t make the proximity of a home to family a friends your top consideration in buying a home as they may also decide to move away to another location eventually.
Grocery and wet market
Running your household involves shopping for grocery essentials and raw food items from the wet market. Having your home near a grocery and a wet market can make this household chore more convenient. With the wet market so close, you may also opt to go on more trips to the market to get fresh meats and vegetables. Being near a grocery will also come in handy for last-minute items.
If you enjoy a particular sport or activity, it may also make your home life better if you choose a location near your favorite gym, badminton court or shopping mall. Popping in at the gym for a short morning exercise everyday could be a great way to start your day, while having a nearby shopping mall makes spontaneous shopping trips possible.
